Jude Saint (B. 2001) is a Pākehā multi-disciplinary artist and writer based in Tāmaki Makaurau, where he completed a BFA from Elam in 2023. Saint’s work is concerned with time, memory, and the body as sites for embodied political experience. Often working at the intersection of post-humanism and erotic ecologies; his work is plagued by post-capitalist normalising processes— how experience, time and collective consciousness impact the canon of the ‘other’. Working from Dreams and Memories Saint produces ballpoint pen drawings depicting the scenes familiar to life in Tāmaki Makaurau. Focused on the performances that make up social engagement and the cracks of the city where biological processes take hold alongside the concrete.
